Updated October 10, 2026. This page covers the RealWorldMC download website and explains how the mod handles your settings.
The current site has no account form, advertising scripts or analytics. The site uses a dark theme and does not store a theme preference.
The website host may process your IP address, browser details, requested pages and timestamps to deliver and secure the site. The hosting provider, retention period, operator identity, legal basis and any international-transfer safeguards must be recorded here when hosting is chosen.
GitHub, Discord, Google and AI chat services apply their own privacy terms when you visit them. We do not load their chat widgets. Opening the download dialog requests public release metadata from GitHub, which receives normal network information such as your IP address. AI links copy a question containing public repository and documentation links after you click. Where supported, the question is also passed in the destination URL; the AI service may prefill or immediately submit it. For other services, paste the copied text yourself. The website does not send API keys to an AI service.
The mod and its local Node.js service store map credentials in config files on your computer. They are readable files, not encrypted storage. Provider requests send the credentials and the map locations you request to Google or Cesium. Providers also receive network information such as your IP address. RealWorldMC's current setup does not upload those keys to a RealWorldMC-operated server.
World saves and local logs stay on your machine unless you share them. Logs or reports may contain coordinates, paths or account-related details. Remove secrets and personal details before sharing a bug report. Deleting a config file removes that local copy; revoke a key with its provider if it was exposed.
You can clear browser storage, delete local configs, revoke provider keys and stop using external services. Where data protection law applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing, receive a copy, object, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and complain to a supervisory authority. These rights depend on the processing and applicable law.
Privacy contact: not yet configured. Do not post personal data in public GitHub issues. A private contact and complete hosting disclosures are required before public launch.
